Sour Cream & Chive Rolls. Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c warm water (110F) .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps milk .
  • 1/3 c finely sliced fresh chives .
  • 2 (2 1/2 oz) packages active dry yeast .
  • 1/2 c white sugar .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 c sour cream (I use low fat) .
  • 4 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1/2 c butter

Directions
  • Step #1 In a saucepan heat sour cream until very hot.
  • Step #2 Add salt, sugar, & butter.
  • Step #3 Stir till butter is melted.
  • Step #4 Cool until lukewarm.
  • Step #5 In a large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • Step #6 Mix in sour cream mixture, eggs, flour & chives.
  • Step #7 Cover up & put in the fridge overnight.
  • Step #8 Divide dough into 4 parts.
  • Step #9 Knead & roll each part into circle.
  • Step #10 Cut into 8 pieces.
  • Step #11 Roll up from flat end to point.
  • Step #12 (crescent roll style).
  • Step #13 Place on greased baking sheet.
  • Step #14 Brush with egg beaten with 2 tbsp milk.
  • Step #15 Allow to rise until double in size.
  • Step #16 Bake at 375F 15 min.
