Beer Cake With Streusel Topping Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c plain flour .
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten .
  • 1 c sugar .
  • 1/2 c currants .
  • 6 oz butter, melted .
  • 1/2 c sultanas .
  • 4 oz butter, melted .
  • 4 c self-rising flour .
  • 2 c sugar .
  • Streusel .
  • 2 c beer

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine sifted flour, sugar & dried fruit.
  • Step #2 Add beaten eggs & melted butter & mix it all together.
  • Step #3 Gradually add the beer mixing it in as you go.
  • Step #4 Pour cake batter into lined or greased cake tin 9"x13".
  • Step #5 To make the streusel mix the three ingredients & mix well.
  • Step #6 Using your fingers, crumble the streusel topping evenly over the cake batter.
  • Step #7 Gently press it in a little.
  • Step #8 Cook in moderate oven (180c) for 45 mins or until skewer comes out clean.
