Linda's Crab Baked Won Tons Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps lemon juice .
  • 16 wonton wrappers .
  • 8 oz crab or imitation crabmeat, finely sliced .
  • water .
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened .
  • 1 tbsp garlic juice, I used some from a jar of sliced garlic in juice .
  • Chinese duck sauce or plum sauce, for dipping .
  • canola oil, to brush on won tons .
  • 3 tbsps yellow onions, finely sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step #2 Put cream cheese in a glass dish, & microwave for 30 secs.
  • Step #3 , until softened.
  • Step #4 Chop the onions finely, & add to cream cheese.
  • Step #5 Add your lemon & garlic juice, & mix well.
  • Step #6 Chop the crab finely, or use the mixer.
  • Step #7 Add to cream cheese mixture, & mix in well.
  • Step #8 Place a heaping tspful of mixture into the center of 8 won ton wrappers.
  • Step #9 Dip you finger into the water, then rub around the edges of each won ton.
  • Step #10 Take another won ton wrapper, & wet one side around the edges, & put it on top of the mixture.
  • Step #11 Seal the two wrappers together, pressing with your fingers all around the edge.
  • Step #12 Continue with the rest of the won ton wrappers, until all are completed.
  • Step #13 When done, grease a cookie sheet with oil.
  • Step #14 Rub each won ton in the grease on the bottom of the cookie sheet, & place each won ton on sheet.
  • Step #15 When all the won tons are done & on the sheet, brush a little oil on top, so they get nice & crispy around the edge.
  • Step #16 Put in the oven, & bake for 8-12 mins, depending on how crispy you like them.
  • Step #17 When done, place on a layer of paper towels to absorb grease.
  • Step #18 Serve with your favorite Duck or Plum Dipping Sauce.
  • Step #19 Makes 8 lg.
