Chicken Pilaf Saute Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps butter or margarine
  • 1 c sliced fresh tomatoes
  • 2 c cubed, cooked chicken
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 c slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 c sliced onion
  • 1 c uncooked long grain rice
  • 3 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 1/2 c boiling water

Directions
  • Step #1 In a skillet over med-heat/flame, saute chicken, rice & onion in butter for 10 mins.
  • Step #2 Dissolve bouillon in water.
  • Step #3 Add salt, thyme & pepper; stir this to mix.
  • Step #4 Pour into skillet; bring to a boil.
  • Step #5 Reduce heat; cover & let simmer for 15 mins.
  • Step #6 Stir in tomatoes & almonds.
  • Step #7 Cover & cook for 15-20 mins or until rice is tender.
