Cranberry Apple Nut Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 c sugar
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 tbsp grated orange peel
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 c sliced peeled tart apples
  • 2 c fresh or frozen cranberries, sliced
  • 1 Pastry for double-crust pie (9 inches)

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, mix cranberries, apple, almonds & orange peel.
  • Step #2 In another bowl, cinnamon, mix sugar, flour, nutmeg & salt; add to fruit mixture & toss carefully.
  • Step #3 Line a 9-in.
  • Step #4 pie plate with the bottom crust; add filling.
  • Step #5 Drizzle with butter.
  • Step #6 Roll out remaining pastry to fit top of pie.
  • Step #7 Place over filling; cut slits in top crust.
  • Step #8 Seal & flute edges.
  • Step #9 Bake at 400F degrees F for 45 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #10 Cool before serving.
