Butter Crunch Pie Crust Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c brown sugar, packed .
  • 1/2 c butter, cold .
  • 1/2 c pecans or walnuts, finely sliced .
  • 1 c flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix flour, sugar & nuts.
  • Step #2 Cut in the butter with a pastry mixer until the texture of coarse crumbs.
  • Step #3 Spread in a 9x13 pan.
  • Step #4 bake this at 400F degrees for 15 mins.
  • Step #5 Remove from oven & stir with a spoon.
  • Step #6 Reserve 3/4 c of mixture for topping if desired & as soon as possible press the remaining into a 9 inch pie plate.
  • Step #7 Cool.
