3 1/2-4 lbs roast beef, any roast of choice is fine .
2 c water .
1/3 c flour .
1 tsp black pepper
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 450 F.
Step #2 Put roast in roasting pan.
Step #3 Put one c water in pan.
Step #4 Mix lipton onion soup mix, mix with 1/2 c water with garlic powder & black pepper, mix well.
Step #5 Pour on top roast.
Step #6 Cover up with alum.
Step #7 foil wrap, wrap over only, press on tightly.
Step #8 Put in oven, no lid on, bake one hr at 450 F.
Step #9 Turn temp down to 350 F one more hr or until fork tender.
Step #10 Remove meat on to platter, cover with alum.
Step #11 foil wrap still.
Step #12 Let it rest for half an hr before cutting into, that way the meat retains its juice!
Gravy: Place roasting pan on stove top, bring drippings to gentle boil.
Step #13 Mix 1/3 c flour with 2 c water, mix well.
Step #14 Pour in the dripping slowly, keep stirring, until brings to boil & thickens, one min.
