Berry Pie (for April Fools Day) Recipe

Ingredients
  • pastry for double-crust pie, for top & bottom crust .
  • 1 (6 oz) bag cotton balls .
  • 2 tbsps grape jam or grape jelly

Directions
  • Step #1 Place bottom crust in pie pan.
  • Step #2 Fill tightly with cotton balls.
  • Step #3 Cut a few slashes in top crust & place over cotton.
  • Step #4 Crimp edges as you would for pie.
  • Step #5 Drizzle a small amount of jelly on top crust where filling "would run over".
  • Step #6 Bake in 350 oven on bottom rack, watching very carefully till pie looks done.
  • Step #7 (I am not sure this would work in an electric oven).
