Veal Cordon Bleu Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c oil .
  • 1/4 c milk .
  • 4 slices leg ham .
  • 4 slices swiss cheese .
  • 3 eggs .
  • 60 g butter .
  • pepper .
  • flour .
  • 4 large boneless veal steaks (or 8 smaller pieces) .
  • dry breadcrumbs .
  • salt

Directions
  • Step #1 cut eat large veal steak in half, lb out each peice of veal very thinly.
  • Step #2 trim edges to form oval shape.
  • Step #3 you will need to pieces of veal the same size put a piece of ham, then a slice of cheese on each of four slices of veal, making sure filling comes within 1cm of edge of veal all around.
  • Step #4 top this with remaining veal slices, pressing edges of veal together firmly.
  • Step #5 coat verylightly with floured seasoned with salt & pepper.
  • Step #6 dip into mixd eggs & milk, then into breadcrumbs, pressing crumbs on firmly.
  • Step #7 repeat until all veal steaks are coated.
  • Step #8 heat butter & oil in large frying pan.
  • Step #9 add veal steaks, cook carefully on both sides until golden brown.
  • Step #10 allow approx 6 mins each side.
