4 large boneless veal steaks (or 8 smaller pieces) .

Directions
Step #1 cut eat large veal steak in half, lb out each peice of veal very thinly.
Step #2 trim edges to form oval shape.
Step #3 you will need to pieces of veal the same size
put a piece of ham, then a slice of cheese on each of four slices of veal, making sure filling comes within 1cm of edge of veal all around.
Step #4 top this with remaining veal slices, pressing edges of veal together firmly.
Step #5 coat verylightly with floured seasoned with salt & pepper.
Step #6 dip into mixd eggs & milk, then into breadcrumbs, pressing crumbs on firmly.
Step #7 repeat until all veal steaks are coated.
Step #8 heat butter & oil in large frying pan.
Step #9 add veal steaks, cook carefully on both sides until golden brown.
