Cranberry Frost Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c sliced dates (optional)
  • 1/2 c sliced cranberries
  • 1/3 c white sugar
  • 2 large oranges
  • 1/2 c heavy whipping cream
  • 1 apple - peeled, cored, & sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixing bowl, mix cranberries & sugar & let this stand 10 mins.
  • Step #2 Meanwhile, peel & secton 1 orange.
  • Step #3 Finely chop orange sections; set aside.
  • Step #4 Sqeeze remaining orange to make total of 1/3 c juice.
  • Step #5 Combine the 1/3 c orange juice, cream cheese, & vanilla.
  • Step #6 Beat until fluffy.
  • Step #7 Stir in orange sections, cranberries, apple & dates.
  • Step #8 Whip cream until soft peaks form.
  • Step #9 Fold cream into cream cheese mixture.
  • Step #10 Turn mixture into a 5-c mold, 8x4x2 inch loaf pan, or into about 10 to 12 paper lined muffin pans.
  • Step #11 Cover & freeze until firm.
  • Step #12 To serve, let this stand at about room temp for 10 miutues.
  • Step #13 Unmold or peel off paper & garnish with orange sections.
