Reuben In The Round Crescents Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 oz) can sauerkraut, drained .
  • 2 (8 oz) cans Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls .
  • 1 (8 oz) package thinly sliced pastrami or corned beef .
  • 1 (6 oz) package swiss cheese or mozzarella cheese (4 slices) .
  • 1/2 tsp caraway seeds .
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 400.
  • Step #2 Separate 1 can of dough into 4 retangles.
  • Step #3 Place in ungreased 12 inch pizza pan or a 13 x 9 inch pan; press over bottom & 1/2 inch up the sides to form crust.
  • Step #4 Firmly press perforations to seal.
  • Step #5 Layer pastrami, cheese & sauerkraut over dough.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top with caraway seed.
  • Step #7 Separate second can of dough into 8 triangles.
  • Step #8 Arrange triangles spoke-fashion over filling with points toward center.
  • Step #9 Do not seal outer edges of triangles to the bottom crust.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top with sesame seed.
  • Step #11 Bake at 400F for 15 to 25 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #12 (I think when I make this, I will omit the sesame seed & just sprinkle a little more caraway seed on the top prior to baking).
