Caramelized Roasted Parsnips Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar .
  • 3 tbsps unsalted butter .
  • 1 1/2 lbs fresh parsnips, sliced in inch-thick strips .
  • 1/2-3/4 c chicken broth .
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large heavy ovenproof frying pan, melt butter over med-heat/flame, & saute parnsnips with salt, pepper, & sugar until lightly brown, about two mins.
  • Step #2 Add a half c of chicken broth & place pan in oven preheated to 350 degrees F for 15 mins or until tender.
  • Step #3 If pan juices evaporates add more broth.
  • Step #4 Serve, seasoned with more pepper.
