My Grandma's Applesauce Spice Cake Recipe

Ingredients

2 tsps allspice .
2 tsps cinnamon .
2 c raisins .
3 1/2 c all-purpose flour .
2 tsps baking soda .
1 c walnuts, sliced (any kind of nut meat will work) .
2 tsps nutmeg .
1/2 tsp salt .
2 c applesauce .
2 c sugar .
4 tbsps melted butter

Directions

Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
Step #2 Prepare a tube pan.
Step #3 Put raisins in a 1 quart pan & cover with water.
Step #4 Cook until almost dry.
Step #5 Meanwhile, mix dry ingredients.
Step #6 When raisins are done mix into dry ingredients with applesauce & melted butter.
Step #7 Bake in prepared tube pan for 1 1/2 hrs.
