Creamy Double Cheese Mostaccioli Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp basil leaves .
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 2 c cheddar cheese .
  • 1 (15 oz) ricotta cheese .
  • 1/4 c margarine or butter .
  • 1/4 c unsifted flour .
  • 4 1/2 c milk .
  • 1 lb mostaccioli pasta

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook pasta uncovered for 10-12 min.
  • Step #2 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #3 In a large sauce pan, melt butter.
  • Step #4 Stir in flour, salt, basil, & pepper.
  • Step #5 Gradually stir in the milk.
  • Step #6 Over med.
  • Step #7 heat, cook & stir until mixture thickens & bubbles.
  • Step #8 Remove from heat.
  • Step #9 Add 1 c cheddar cheese & yield 3 tbsps ricotta cheese Drain pasta & stir in theto mixture.
  • Step #10 Spoon half the pasta mixture into a greased 13x9-inch baking dish; spread ricotta cheese over so you can have a nice middle layer of cheese (there may be some ricotta cheese left over).
  • Step #11 Add remaining pasta mixture; cover & bake for 25 min or until hot & bubbly.
  • Step #12 Uncover as soon as possible & top this with remaining 1 c of cheddar cheese; let this stand 10 min before serving.
