Smothered Pork Chops- Homemade Gourmet Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c sliced fresh mushrooms .
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz) can mushroom soup .
  • 1/4 c half-and-half .
  • 3 tbsps olive oil .
  • 8 thin boneless pork chops .
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp homemade gourmet garlic lemon seasoning .
  • 2 tbsps homemade gourmet garlic lemon seasoning .
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat olive oil in skillet over med-heat/flame, being careful not to get too hot.
  • Step #2 Meanwhile, mix together 2 tbsps of seasoning mix & flour.
  • Step #3 Dredge pork chops in flour & seasoning mix.
  • Step #4 When oil is hot, cook pork chops over med-heat/flame for 2-3 mins on each side or until evenly browned.
  • Step #5 Remove pork chops & drain on paper towel.
  • Step #6 Add mushrooms & bell peppers to skillet with a little more olive oil, if needed.
  • Step #7 Sauté over med-heat/flame for 5 mins or until tender.
  • Step #8 Stir in soup, half-and-half, & 1 tbsp seasoning mix.
  • Step #9 Return pork chops to skillet.
  • Step #10 Reduce heat to low.
  • Step #11 Cook, covered, 1 hr or until pork is tender.
  • Step #12 Serve with hot rice or pasta, if desired.
