Country-style Baked Ham And Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c chicken broth .
  • 4 tbsps sharp cheddar cheese, grated .
  • 1/2 c half-and-half .
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine .
  • 2-3 tbsps prepared mustard .
  • 1 1/4 lbs smoked ham .
  • 1 dash salt .
  • 3-4 tbsps sliced fresh parsley .
  • 1 dash black pepper .
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced .
  • 2 medium onions, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Grease a 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
  • Step #2 Saute' onion in butter until soft but not browned.
  • Step #3 Place half of the potatoes in a thin layer in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Step #4 Cover up with half the onion.
  • Step #5 Place ham on top.
  • Step #6 spread with mustard.
  • Step #7 Cover up with remaining onion.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with salt & pepper.
  • Step #9 Cover up with potatoes.
  • Step #10 Add broth.
  • Step #11 Bake at 350F for about 40 mins.
  • Step #12 Add half & half.
  • Step #13 Sprinkle top cheese on top.
  • Step #14 Continue baking at 375F until potatoes are tender & cheese is melted, about 15 mins.
  • Step #15 Sprinkle top with parsley.
  • Step #16 Serve as soon as possible.
