Shortcut Chicken And Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2/3 c milk .
  • 1 chicken, cooked (I use a store bought rotisserie) .
  • 2 c Bisquick .
  • 4 (14 oz) cans chicken broth (I use low sodium)

Directions
  • Step #1 Remove chicken meat & cut into small pieces or shred.
  • Step #2 In a large pot, heat the chicken broth to boiling & add the chicken meat.
  • Step #3 Meanwhile mix the Bisquick with the milk (the dough will be wet & sticky).
  • Step #4 Add large spoonfuls of dough to the boiling soup.
  • Step #5 I usually make about nine dumplings & keep them on the surface of the soup & along perimeter of the pot.
  • Step #6 If they are in the middle, they don't seem to cook properly.
  • Step #7 Cook uncovered for 10 mins, turning heat to low after a couple mins.
  • Step #8 Cook covered another 10 mins on low.
