Baamieh Recipe

Ingredients
  • 200 g sugar .
  • 3 large eggs .
  • 125 g flour .
  • 2-3 tbsps rose water .
  • 4-5 tbsps cooking oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix cooking oil with a glass of water & 1-2 spoons of sugar, & bring to a boil.
  • Step #2 Pour in flour & mix well.
  • Step #3 When water boils off & the mix thickens, remove this from heat.
  • Step #4 Allow the mix to cool down, then add eggs & mix well until smooth.
  • Step #5 Heat oil in a pan until hot.
  • Step #6 Pour the mix through a funnel into the pan, creating flattened balls about 3 cm in diameter.
  • Step #7 Fry on both sides.
  • Step #8 Mix well sugar, rose-water, & a glass of water.
  • Step #9 Heat until water comes to a boil, & the syrup thickens.
  • Step #10 Remove from heat.
  • Step #11 Soak baamieh in the syrup for about 5 mins, then serve.
