Ingredients
  • 1/2 c sliced walnuts (optional)
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 c colored crispy rice cereal
  • 1 c butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 c mini candy-coated chocolates
  • 2 c all-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Cream together butter or margarine, sugar, & vanilla.
  • Step #2 Mix together flour & baking soda; add to creamed mixture.
  • Step #3 Mix well.
  • Step #4 Stir in chocolate candy & nuts.
  • Step #5 Form dough into 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls.
  • Step #6 Roll in puffed rice cereal, & place on lightly buttered cookie sheet.
  • Step #7 Flatten.
  • Step #8 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 to 20 mins.
  • Step #9 Cool on a wire rack.
  • Step #10 .
