Chocolate Layered Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2/3 c milk
  • 1 (5.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1/2 c sliced pecans
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c confectioners' sugar
  • 2 c frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 1 c frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix together pecans, melted butter, & flour.
  • Step #2 Pat into the bottom & up the sides of a 9 inch pie plate.
  • Step #3 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until lightly browned.
  • Step #4 Remove from oven, & set aside to cool.
  • Step #5 In a mixing bowl, mix 1 c whipped topping, cream cheese, & confectioners sugar until creamy.
  • Step #6 Spread into cooled crust.
  • Step #7 Whisk together pudding mix & milk.
  • Step #8 Spread evenly over cheese layer, & the spread remaining whipped topping on top.
  • Step #9 Chill 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.
