12 oz tagliatelle pasta noodles (fresh or dried) .
4 tbsps double cream or creme fraiche .
2 tbsps red currant jelly or cranberry sauce .
1 pint prepared gravy or hot beef stock
Directions
Step #1 In a large bowl, mix together the meat, seasoning, herbs & olives & shape into 12 meatballs.
Step #2 Heat the oil In a large-ish non stick pan & cook the meatballs in batches for 15-20 mins, turning every once in awhile until cooked & any juices run clear.
Step #3 Meanwhile cook the pasta according to the packet instructions.
Step #4 Remove the meatballs & keep warm.
Step #5 Leave about 5ml of oil in the pan, add the gravy or stock & stir in the redcurrant jelly or cranberry sauce.
Step #6 Bring to the boil, then reduce heat & stir in the the cream or creme fraiche, reduce heat & let simmer for 1-2 mins before returning the meat balls to the pan.
Step #7 Serve the meatballs with the pasta & garnish with the sage leaves.
