Chicken Livers With Bacon Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 lb fresh chicken livers

Directions
  • Step #1 Rinse livers, pat dry & place this in a resealable plastic bag.
  • Step #2 In a small bowl mix the flour, garlic powder, salt & pepper & add mixture to chicken livers.
  • Step #3 Seal bag & shake bag to coat.
  • Step #4 Set aside.
  • Step #5 Place bacon in a large, deep skillet.
  • Step #6 Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.
  • Step #7 Remove bacon, leaving bacon fat in skillet, & set aside.
  • Step #8 Cook coated chicken livers in bacon fat covered over medium high heat until almost done, about 17 to 20 mins.
  • Step #9 Add bacon strips & cook together until chicken is cooked through & juices run clear.
