water (more or less depending on whether you want syrup thin or thick) .
1 tsp fine sugar .
3 tbsps effervescent vitamin C powder (I actually use 3 tablets)
Directions
Step #1 Put the powder, then the sugar - preferably, the sugar should cover the powder- in a microwaveable c or bowl.
Step #2 if using tablets, put them in first (you may have to crush them.
Step #3 ).
Step #4 Pour water on top until the dry ingredients are covered.
Step #5 DON'T try to drown out floating bits - note that the concentration of syrup depends on how wide your bowl/c is ,so take that into consideration.
Step #6 Ignore the fizzing.
Step #7 Cover up with something microwaveable & microwave on HIGH for one min.
Step #8 Take it out (with oven gloves!) & stir.
Step #9 If the sugar and/or tablets aren't dissolved yet microwave for another 10 seconds.
Step #10 Serve freshly microwaved & piping hot or store this in the fridge until needed.
