Ingredients
  • Dough .
  • 1 c sliced onions .
  • 1 zucchini (sliced) .
  • 2 c flour .
  • 1 tbsp baking powder .
  • 4 carrots (sliced) .
  • 1/2 tbsp thyme .
  • 4 tbsps butter .
  • 1 tsp grated lemon zest .
  • 1/2 tbsp tarragon .
  • 1 rotisserie-cooked chicken (cooled) .
  • 3 oz mushrooms .
  • 1 tsp sugar .
  • 1/2 c flour .
  • 1 tbsp flat leaf parsley .
  • 4 c chicken broth .
  • 1/2 c unsalted butter (cold,sliced) .
  • fresh ground pepper .
  • 3/4 c milk .
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Shred chicken(set aside).
  • Step #2 Melt butter in 9" cast-iron skillet, med.
  • Step #3 heat.
  • Step #4 Add carrots, mushrms.
  • Step #5 , zucchini, salt, cook til light brn (4min).
  • Step #6 Add onions(cook 1min), whisk til boils,Stir in flour (1min)Pour in broth, reduce heat & simmer uncovered til thick(3min).
  • Step #7 Stir in chicken, add parsley, remove this from heat, thyme & tarragon & fresh grnd pepper.
  • Step #8 Dough.
  • Step #9 oven 450* whisk flour.
  • Step #10 b.
  • Step #11 pwdr, sugar & salt in lg.
  • Step #12 bowl.
  • Step #13 Use fingers to rub 3T butter til mix is sandy.
  • Step #14 Work in rest of butter til it forms pea-size pieces.
  • Step #15 Stir lemon zest into milk & stir in theto the flour mixture to make soft dough.
  • Step #16 Turn on lightly floured surface, pat into 1/2" thickness cut in circles or tear in pieces.
  • Step #17 Bring chick.
  • Step #18 mixture to simmer, lay biscuits on top, brush w/milk.
  • Step #19 Put skillet in oven til golden brn.
  • Step #20 (20min) Let rest 5min.
