Step #1 Combine the first 8 ingredients, beef to egg & brown in a pot, stir constantly, it will stick a bit because of the cheese, but it will come up again when you add the water later.
Step #2 Cook & stir over med-heat/flame.
Step #3 Add the rest of the ingredients & let simmer for about 2 hrs, covered the last hr.
Step #4 I needed to adjust the seasoning, it needed more salt than I had originally anticipated.
Step #5 Makes a lot & the sauce is supposed to be thick, add a bit of water as it is cooking if you feel the need.
Step #6 Cook pasta, I like mostaccoli, separately & toss with the sauce.
Step #7 This makes enough sauce for about 2 lbs of dry mostaccoli, or about 10 people.
