Step #1 Heat milk in a small sauce pan & add the oatmeal.
Step #2 Stir & let sit while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
Step #3 In a mixing bowl, parsely, oil, Parmesan cheese, mix the ground beef, the oatmeal/milk mixture, onions, egg, & salt.
Step #4 Mix thoroughly but carefully.
Step #5 Without squeezing, shape the mixture into small round balls about one inch in diameter.
Step #6 Bake the meatballs in a 350 degree oven for about 10 mins.
Step #7 (Don't worry if they're not done all the way - they will continue to cook in the tomato sauce.
Step #8 ).
Step #9 Meanwhile prepare the tomato sauce by combining the sauce with the garlic & dried herbs, salt & let it simmer carefully while the meatballs cook.
Step #10 When the meatballs have browned, add to the tomato sauce & slowly simmer, covered, for another 45 mins or until the meatballs are thoroughly cooked.
Step #11 Stir every once in awhile to make sure the sauce does not stick.
Step #12 Bring a pot of water to boil & add the pasta.
