Step #1 Saute onions & garlic in butter pretty low so that garlic doesnt get bitter.
Step #2 Add water & the lentils & rice.
Step #3 Cover up & cook for about 1 hr.
Step #4 It is good alone but adding more butter before eating makes it extra creamy!
dont forget to remove the bay leaf & salt & pepper to taste (you dont have to go by the measurements on those!).
