Victorian House Caramel Toast Recipe

Ingredients
  • cinnamon .
  • 1 c brown sugar .
  • 6 eggs .
  • 1 tbsp vanilla .
  • 1 1/2 c milk .
  • 3 tbsps Karo syrup .
  • 1 French bread .
  • 1/2 c butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt butter, brown sugar & syrup in small pan; whisk until sugar is melted.
  • Step #2 Pour in a 9x11 casserole pan.
  • Step #3 Slice the bread into 1" slices.
  • Step #4 Place the bread on the butter mixture.
  • Step #5 Lightly beat the eggs & milk with the vanilla & pour over bread.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top cinnamon on top.
  • Step #7 Cover up with foil wrap & put in the fridge overnight.
  • Step #8 Uncover & bake this at 350 degrees for 45 mins.
  • Step #9 Serve with fruit, powdered sugar, or maple syrup.
