"mama Mia" Triple Cheese Mostaccioli Bake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 oz mostaccioli pasta (ziti or penne' pasta could also be used) .
  • 2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese .
  • 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine .
  • 1/4 c flour .
  • 1 c shredded swiss cheese .
  • 4 1/2 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook Pasta "al dente" style.
  • Step #2 While Pasta is cooking, preheat your trusty oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #3 Melt Butter In a large-ish saucepan under medium heat.
  • Step #4 Stir in Flour, Salt & Pepper.
  • Step #5 Gradually add Milk; cook & stir until it thickens & slowly bubbles.
  • Step #6 Remove from heat; stir in the 1 c each Cheddar & Parmesan Cheese, mix until mixed well.
  • Step #7 Stir in Pasta.
  • Step #8 Spoon 1/2 Pasta & sauce into greased 13" x 9" baking dish.
  • Step #9 Layer with Swiss Cheese, then remaining Pasta mixture.
  • Step #10 Cover up & bake 25-30 mins or until hot & bubbly.
  • Step #11 Uncover & sprinkle remaining Cheddar Cheese over the top.
  • Step #12 Serve after Cheese melts, about 5-10 mins.
