Cinnamon Walnut Scones Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c finely sliced walnuts .
  • 1 3/4 c all-purpose flour .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 2 1/4 tsps baking powder .
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (or to taste) .
  • 4 1/2 tsps sugar .
  • 1/3 c whipping cream .
  • 1/4 c buttermilk .
  • 1/4 c cold butter or margarine .
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl, mix the first six ingredients, cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Step #2 Combine eggs & cream, stir in theto dry ingredients just until moistened.
  • Step #3 Turn onto a floured surface, carefully pat into a 7-inch circle, 3/4 inch thick.
  • Step #4 Cut tino 8 wedges.
  • Step #5 Separate wedges, place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Step #6 Brush to with buttermilk & let rest 15 mins.
  • Step #7 Bake at 450 degrees for 14-16 mins, or until golden brown.
