Chocolate Maltedce Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c malted milk balls, crushed
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c chocolate malted milk powder
  • 1 c sugar
  • 4 c whipping cream
  • 2 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 In a heavy saucepan, mix the eggs, sugar & malted milk powder.
  • Step #2 Gradually add milk.
  • Step #3 Cook & stir over low heat/flame until mixture reaches 160 degrees F & coats the back of a metal spoon.
  • Step #4 Remove from the heat.
  • Step #5 Cool quickly by placing pan in a bowl of ice water; stir for 2 mins.
  • Step #6 Stir in vanilla.
  • Step #7 Press plastic wrap onto surface of custard.
  • Step #8 Refrigerate for several hrs or overnight.
  • Step #9 Stir in cream & malted milk balls.
  • Step #10 Fill cylinder of ice cream freezer two-thirds full; freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Step #11 Refrigerate remaining mixture until ready to freeze.
  • Step #12 Allow to ripen in ice cream freezer or firm up in your refrigerator freezer 2-4 hrs before serving.
