Janine's Sister's Fall/winter Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 1/2 c pecans, halves .
  • For the vinaigrette .
  • 1/4 c light brown sugar, firmly packed .
  • 1/3 c vegetable oil, do not substitute olive oil .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • For the salad .
  • 1 (10 oz) package prewashed spinach .
  • 1/2 c walnuts, halves .
  • 1/2 c apple cider vinegar .
  • 2 pears, ripe, cut into chunks .
  • 2 tbsps butter, melted .
  • 2 apples, cut into chunks .
  • 1/3 c brown sugar, firmly packed .
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions
  • Step #1 For the salad, stir this together first 4 ingredients & spread on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Step #2 Bake at 350 degrees F.
  • Step #3 for 12-15 mins, stirring often.
  • Step #4 Let cool & set aside.
  • Step #5 Combine spinach & fruit; drizzle with the vinaigrette & sprinkle with the sugared nuts.
  • Step #6 For the vinaigrette, just whisk all ingredients in a c.
