Chicken Casserole Mississippi Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 oz) package wide egg noodles
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
  • 3 1/2 lbs skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 7 oz sour cream
  • 2 c crushed buttery round crackers
  • 1 onion, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Cut the chicken into bite size pieces.
  • Step #3 In a large nonstick skillet over med-heat/flame, saute the chicken & the onion for 5 to 10 mins, or until chicken is cooked.
  • Step #4 Prepare egg noodles according to package directions.
  • Step #5 In a casserole dish, soups, onion, mix the chicken, & noodles.
  • Step #6 Mix this together well.
  • Step #7 Crush the crackers in a medium bowl.
  • Step #8 Add the butter or margarine & the sour cream, mix thoroughly & spread this over the chicken mixture.
  • Step #9 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 mins, or until the top is golden brown.
