King's Bacon Bowl Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c sour cream .
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional) .
  • 1 c plum tomatoes or roma tomatoes, seeded & sliced (2 medium) .
  • 2 (16 oz) king's Hawaiian bread .
  • 1 c mayonnaise .
  • 1 lb bacon, cooked crisp & crumbled .
  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen spinach, thawed & drained .
  • 6-8 dashes hot sauce (optional)

Directions
  • Step #1 Pre heat oven to 350°.
  • Step #2 Carve out center core of 1 loaf of bread with in 1 inch of bottom & sides, keep bread bowl intact.
  • Step #3 Cube removed core & extra loaf.
  • Step #4 Place cubes & bowl on cookie sheet & bake 11-13 mins, until golden brown; set aside.
  • Step #5 Blend mayo & sour cream together in a medium bowl.
  • Step #6 Add bacon, & spinach, mix well.
  • Step #7 This is where you would & the extras if using.
  • Step #8 Cover up & put in the fridge until well chilled.
  • Step #9 Just before serving add tomatoes & salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #10 Transfer to bread bowl & serve this with toasted cubes.
