1 tbsp minced fresh garlic, to taste or 1/2-1 tsp garlic powder .
1 lime, juice of .
2 beef steaks (use rib-eye or T-bone steaks, about 16-24 oz)
Directions
Step #1 Remove the steaks from the fridge & place this in a shallow dish.
Step #2 In a bowl mix together the ginger, fresh garlic, honey & juice of 1 lime.
Step #3 Drizzle the mixture over the beef & let sit out on the counter until the beef is room temperature (this might take a couple hrs depending on the size of your steak, turning the beef every once in awhile in the mixture.
Step #4 Start a charcoal fire or preheat gas grill (the fire should not be really hot & the rack should be positioned no more than 4-inches away from heat source).
Step #5 Remove the room temperature beef from the mixture & season this with black pepper (use NO salt at this point you can salt the beef after cooking).
Step #6 Place the steak on the grill & spoon any remaining sauce over it.
Step #7 For rare (steaks under under 1-inch thick) grill about 3 mins per side.
Step #8 For larger or more well-done steak increase the time slightly.
