Camarón Del Diablo Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs shrimp (peeled & deveined) .
  • 1/2 lemon .
  • 3 tbsps olive oil .
  • 1 (10 oz) can rotel (your choice) .
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce .
  • goya adobo seasoning (I use with pepper) .
  • 1/2 onion, sliced fine .
  • 3 fresh cayenne peppers or jalapeno peppers .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 3/4 (10 1/2 oz) can chicken broth .
  • 3 garlic cloves, sliced fine

Directions
  • Step #1 Squeeze out juice from lemon over shrimp & sprinkle with Adobo.
  • Step #2 I like to do this for at least 2 hrs, but its not necessary.
  • Step #3 In large skillet fry onion, garlic & peppers in olive oil slowly for 3-5 mins.
  • Step #4 Add rotel & tomato sauce.
  • Step #5 Cook for an extra 3-5 mins.
  • Step #6 Add shrmip & chicken broth & cook for 25 mins.
  • Step #7 At the end, test soup.
  • Step #8 if not spicy enough, add more peppers, if too spicy add more broth & cook on high 5 mins.
  • Step #9 Serve with tortillas, rice or pasta.
