Caramel French Toast Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 12 slices sandwich bread .
  • 1 c brown sugar .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 2 tbsps corn syrup .
  • 6 eggs, beaten .
  • 1 1/2 c milk .
  • 1/2 c butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine sugar, & corn syrup in a small saucepan; cook over med-heat/flame until thickened, butter, stirring constantly.
  • Step #2 Pour syrup mixture into a 13x9x2-in baking dish.
  • Step #3 Place 6 slices of bread on top of syrup mixture.
  • Step #4 Top with remaining 6 slices of bread.
  • Step #5 Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, & salt, stirring until mixed.
  • Step #6 Pour egg mixture evenly over bread slices.
  • Step #7 Cover up & chill 8 hrs.
  • Step #8 Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F.
  • Step #9 for 40 to 45 mins or until lightly browned.
  • Step #10 Serve as soon as possible.
