Meatloaf Cordon Bleu Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 oz swiss cheese, grated .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 3/4 c Italian seasoned breadcrumbs .
  • 1/2 tsp dill weed .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground round .
  • 4 oz ham, thinly sliced .
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper .
  • 1/4 c onions, minced .
  • 1 c V8 vegetable juice

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step #2 In a large bowl, mix meat, dill weed, V-8 juice, bread crumbs, sliced onion, eggs, salt & pepper.
  • Step #3 Mix lightly but thoroughly.
  • Step #4 Press meatloaf mixture onto a sheet of foil wrap or wax paper into a rectangle.
  • Step #5 Place a layer of cheese over the rectangle.
  • Step #6 Place a layer of ham over the cheese.
  • Step #7 Cover up the entire rectangle.
  • Step #8 Pick up the edge of the waxed paper or foil wrap to roll the flattened meat up into a log.
  • Step #9 Remove waxed paper, seal the ends & seam, & place the loaf into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Step #10 Bake for 1 hr & 15 mins in the preheated oven, or until the loaf is no longer pink inside.
  • Step #11 Let stand 10 mins before slicing.
