Grilled Chicken With Sesame Ginger Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps sugar .
  • 1/4 c soy sauce .
  • Sesame Ginger Sauce .
  • 2 tbsps lemon juice .
  • 1/2 c fresh ginger, minced .
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil .
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin .
  • 2 tsps fresh ginger, minced .
  • 1 tbsp canola oil .
  • 1/4 c soy sauce .
  • 1 garlic clove, minced .
  • 1/3 c water .
  • 1 tsp canola oil .
  • Marinade .
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts .
  • 1/4 c rice vinegar .
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded & minced

Directions
  • Step #1 To make marinade: Combine soy sauce, jalapeno, garlic, oil, lemon juice, ginger & cumin in a plastic zipper bag.
  • Step #2 Add chicken & seal bag.
  • Step #3 Refrigerate a minimum of 2 hrs or overnight.
  • Step #4 To make Sesame Ginger Sauce: Heat oil in a small saucepan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #5 Add ginger & sugar & a small amount of the water.
  • Step #6 Cook until softened.
  • Step #7 Remove from heat, add in the remaining ingredients.
  • Step #8 Cover up & put in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hrs or overnight.
  • Step #9 Prior to serving, strain sauce (to remove minced ginger) & reheat.
  • Step #10 Remove chicken from marinade & grill until no longer pink in center, about 5 min per side.
  • Step #11 Thinly slice chicken & top this with 1 tbsp Sesame Ginger Sauce.
