Tortellini With Pumpkin Sage Butter Recipe

Ingredients
  • salt & pepper .
  • 8 fresh sage leaves or 1 tsp ground sage .
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1 tsp light brown sugar .
  • 1/2 lb sweet butter .
  • 1/2 c pumpkin pie filling .
  • 1 lb cheese tortellini .
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg .
  • 1/2 c parmigiano-reggiano cheese, grated

Directions
  • Step #1 Place butter & sage leaves (or ground sage) in a saute pan over medium high heat & cook this until butter just turns golden brown.
  • Step #2 Add the pumpkin pie filling, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar & remove this from heat.
  • Step #3 Wisk carefully until mixd.
  • Step #4 Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #5 Cook tortellini in boiling salted water according to package directions, drain, & toss into saute pan with warm sauce.
  • Step #6 Place pasta & sauce over med-heat/flame & toss until well coated.
  • Step #7 Remove from heat, toss with Parmesan cheese & serve.
