Tasty Beef Bourguignonne Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 tsp dried thyme .
  • 7 oz hot cooked orzo pasta (I used fideo pasta) .
  • 1 c beef broth .
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or top round steaks, cut in 1 inch cubes .
  • 2 tbsps olive oil .
  • 1 tbsp of minced onions or 1/2 a small onion .
  • 1/2 c Burgundy wine or dry red wine .
  • 2 c fresh carrots .
  • 2 c sliced mushrooms (portabello preferred)

Directions
  • Step #1 Coat beef with flour.
  • Step #2 Heat oil in skillet--may need to use more then called for.
  • Step #3 Add beef & cook this until brown, stirring often.
  • Step #4 Add mushrooms, garlic & thyme.
  • Step #5 Cook until mushrooms are tendered.
  • Step #6 Add carrots, broth & wine.
  • Step #7 Heat to a boil.
  • Step #8 Cover up & cook over low heat/flame 20 mins or until done.
  • Step #9 Serve over pasta.
