Chicken Korma Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp sliced almonds, toasted .
  • 2 tsps ground cumin .
  • 2 tbsps oil .
  • 3 green cardamoms, split open .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 5 oz single cream .
  • 2 lbs skinless chicken, & cubed .
  • 1 oz ground almonds .
  • 5 oz plain yogurt .
  • 1 inch cube fresh ginger, sliced .
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed

Directions
  • Step #1 In a mixer process the almonds, ginger & garlic with 3 tbsp water to make a paste.
  • Step #2 Heat the oil In a large-ish pan & fry the chicken till browned, 8 to 10 mins.
  • Step #3 Remove the chicken from the pan drain & set aside.
  • Step #4 To the pan add the cardamoms & the onions & fry for 5 mins.
  • Step #5 Add the almond/garlic paste, cumin & salt, cook for 5 mins.
  • Step #6 Slowly add the yogurt, stir, add the chicken, cover the pan & let simmer 5 mins.
  • Step #7 Add the cream & let simmer for 5 mins.
  • Step #8 Serve garnished with the toasted almonds.
