Chinese Meat Balls Recipe

Ingredients
  • FLOUR MIXTURE .
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger .
  • 3 green peppers, cut into 1/2 inch strips .
  • 1 (14 oz) can bean sprouts, including liquid .
  • 1/4 c breadcrumbs .
  • SAUCE .
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch .
  • 1/4 c brown sugar .
  • 1/3 c soy sauce .
  • 1 (7 oz) can mushrooms, including liquid .
  • 1/4 tsp ginger .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 1/3 c flour .
  • 1/2 c milk .
  • 2 lbs ground beef .
  • 2 tbsps water .
  • 2 tsps soy sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix together gr.
  • Step #2 beef, milk,salt,bread crumbs, 2 tsps soy sauce, & 1/4 tsps ginger.
  • Step #3 Form into 24 balls.
  • Step #4 Roll in flour mixture.
  • Step #5 Brown in skillet with 2 T.
  • Step #6 oil.
  • Step #7 Remove & drain on paper towels.
  • Step #8 Saute pepper strips 5 mins in skillet.
  • Step #9 Add bean sprouts, mushrooms, soy sauce,and brown sugar.
  • Step #10 Bring to boil, then simmer 5 mins.
  • Step #11 Stir in cornstarch-water mixture.
  • Step #12 Cook & stir until thickened.
  • Step #13 Add meat balls & heat thoroughly.
