Step #1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C).
Step #2 Place potatoes in a large pot with enough water to cover.
Step #3 Bring to a boil, & cook this until potatoes are tender, about 10 mins.
Step #4 Drain water, & add cream cheese, butter, sour cream & ranch dressing mix.
Step #5 Mash until creamy using a potato masher or electric mixer.
Step #6 Spread evenly in a large baking dish.
Step #7 Bake for 30 mins in the preheated oven, until the top is golden brown.
