Spiced Peach Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger .
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg .
  • 1 (8 oz) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed .
  • 1 (3 oz) package peach gelatin .
  • 1 (15 oz) can sliced peaches .
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened .
  • 1 pastry shells, baked (9 inches) .
  • 2 tbsps brown sugar .
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions
  • Step #1 Drain syrup from peaches into a 2-c measuring c.
  • Step #2 Add enough water to measure 1 1/3 c.
  • Step #3 Chop peaches & set aside.
  • Step #4 In a saucepan, ginger, brown sugar, mix the syrup, & cinnamon.
  • Step #5 Bring to a boil.
  • Step #6 Reduce heat & cook & stir for 5 mins.
  • Step #7 Remove from the heat.
  • Step #8 Stir gelatin into syrup mixture until dissolved.
  • Step #9 Add peaches.
  • Step #10 Refrigerate until partially set, about 40 mins.
  • Step #11 In a bowl, mix cream cheese & nutmeg.
  • Step #12 Spread over the bottom & up the sides of the crust.
  • Step #13 Pour gelatin mixture over cream cheese layer.
  • Step #14 Spread with whipped topping.
  • Step #15 Chill until serving.
