Ingredients
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 3 c raisins
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsps ground nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 c bourbon
  • 3 c candied cherries
  • 1 1/2 tsps ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 lb sliced candied lemon peel
  • 4 c pecan halves

Directions
  • Step #1 Soak fruits in bourbon at least 1 hr to plump.
  • Step #2 Preheat oven to 325F degrees F (170 degrees C).
  • Step #3 Grease cookie sheets.
  • Step #4 Cream margarine or butter, slowly adding sugar & eggs.
  • Step #5 Add dry ingredients, then fruit & nuts.
  • Step #6 Mix well.
  • Step #7 Drop from tsp onto greased cookie sheets.
  • Step #8 Bake for 15 mins.
  • Step #9 Store in an airtight container.
  • Step #10 .
