Rogene's Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 2/3 c flaked coconut, firmly packed .
  • 1 tsp almond extract .
  • 1 c almonds, sliced .
  • 2/3 c sugar .
  • 1/4 c flour .
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate .
  • 4 egg whites, unbeaten .
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
  • Step #2 Combine all ingredients except chocolate.
  • Step #3 Form balls & place 2" apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.
  • Step #4 Bake 20-25 mins.
  • Step #5 Remove & place on waxed paper to cool.
  • Step #6 Melt chocolate in heavy pan.
  • Step #7 Dip edge of cookies in chocolate - it will set when cooled.
