Salisbury Steak With Mushroom Gravy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps all-purpose flour .
  • 12 cremini mushrooms, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce .
  • 2 c beef stock .
  • 1 1/4 lbs ground sirloin .
  • 1 small onion, finely sliced .
  • 2 tbsps butter .
  • 3 tbsps extra virgin olive oil .
  • 12 shiitake mushrooms, sliced .
  • 1 tbsp steak seasoning (Montreal Steak Spice uping good)

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine meat, Worcestershire, onion & steak seasoning.
  • Step #2 Form 2 large oval patties, 1" thick.
  • Step #3 Preheat large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #4 Add tbsps of olive oil & the meat patties to a hot pan.
  • Step #5 Cook meat 6 mins on each side until meat is evenly caramelized on the outside & juices run clear.
  • Step #6 Remove meat & cover with loose foil wrap to keep warm.
  • Step #7 Add 1 tbsps oil & the butter to the pan, then the mushrooms.
  • Step #8 Spice up with salt & pepper & sauté mushrooms until tender, 3-5 mins.
  • Step #9 Add sprinkle of flour to pan & cook 2 mins more.
  • Step #10 Whisk in beef stock & thicken 1 min.
  • Step #11 To serve, pour gravy over Salisbury Steaks.
  • Step #12 Serve with mashed potatoes.
