Buffalo Wings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp paprika .
  • black pepper (optional) .
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine, melted .
  • 2-3 tbsps bottled hot pepper sauce (I use Tabasco) .
  • salt (optional) .
  • 12 chicken wings (about 2 lbs)

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat broiler.
  • Step #2 Meanwhile, rinse chicken wings;pat dry with paper towels.
  • Step #3 Cut off & discard tips of chicken wings.
  • Step #4 Place wing pieces in a shallow non-metal pan.
  • Step #5 For sauce: In a small mixing bowl, stir this together the melted butter or margarine, bottled hot pepper sauce, & paprika.
  • Step #6 Pour mixture over chicken wings, stirring to coat.
  • Step #7 Cover up chicken & let this stand at about room temp for 30 mins.
  • Step #8 Drain chicken, reserving sauce.
  • Step #9 Place the chicken wing pieces on the unheated rack of a broiler pan.
  • Step #10 If desired, sprinkle the chicken with salt & pepper.
  • Step #11 Brush with some of the reserved sauce.
  • Step #12 Broil chicken 4 to 5 inches from the heat about 10 mins or until lightly browned.
  • Step #13 Turn the chicken pieces; brush again with the reserved sauce.
  • Step #14 Broil for 10 to 15 mins more or until the chicken is tender & no longer pink.
  • Step #15 Serve with Blue Cheese or Ranch dip/Salad dressing and, if desired, celery sticks.
