Step #3 Combine flour, cocoa, salt & baking soda; slowly add to creamed mixture & beat just until mixed.
Step #4 Stir in chocolate chips & nuts if desired.
Step #5 Drop by rounded tspfuls 2 in.
Step #6 apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Step #7 Bake at 375 degrees F for 7-9 mins; do not overbake.
Step #8 Cool 2 mins before removing to wire racks.
